In
Loving Memory-Foxy-Store-Cat Oct 05 – Sept 06 Foxy passed over due to complications
from Feline Leukemia. She is buried out back behind the
store close to our bird feeding station where we can
have a chat every morning when I fill the feeders. We
will always love and miss you Foxy! |
Feb 07: Hello from
Squeaky!
Hi! I am proud
to announce that I am the newest employee at the store.
I have been here a few weeks now & am looking forward to
meeting you! I will never replace Foxy but I promise to

Apr 2007: Take a look at all my “bling”!
It’s been fun being a
store cat. Customers and my employees alike are buying
and bringing me gifts and toys. I am soooo grateful to
be here and be your friend! |
Mar 2007: Squeaky
Introduces….. Sweet Squeaky’s Bugs & Berries Seed
Blend! I’ve come up with a new local bird seed blend
that has roasted waxworks, raisins, peanuts splits,
sunflower & safflower. This is a Limited Offer Blend
only – it will be available March through May – only at
Wild Birds Unlimited! I’ve also developed my own logo.
You see, I’ve become quite an entrepreneur! |

Feb 07: Well, I
have been at the store now for a few weeks and my days
of hiding behind the toilet are over – I love greeting
the wonderful folks who visit the store! Besides
commenting on my plus-size, several customers have
wondered if I have some “Sea Otter” in my lineage since
I like to lie on my back!
So far my probationary status is working out very well.
I did not, however, realize that I would have to write a
news column for the store. I thought I was here for
greeting customers and being “eye candy”! Oh well, that
issue will have to be negotiated once my probation
period comes to an end! Stay warm and I hope to see
everyone again real soon! |
Aug 07: One of
my best jobs at the store is to help open packages and
see what fun items we have ordered. My most
favorite aspect of this assignment is sleeping and
playing under the wrapping paper. Sometimes Aunt Soleia
joins me for a nap under the wrapping paper and we both
wake up very motivated to give you the BEST customer
service on the planet! I have just been caught waking
up from my nap in this photo! |

OFFICIAL REPRIMAND for SQUEAKY!!!
Well, it's finally happened - I have
received a written reprimand that is now a permanent
part of my employee record.
All I did one day, for great customer
service, was follow some ladies around and lick their
toes and legs. As luck would have it, these ladies did
not care for cats (can you believe that?!) and
complained to my mom, Sharon. She gave me a gentle
verbal warning but then Uncle Ed piped up inquiring
whether if such a mild reprimand implied that it
was okay for the rest of the staff to lick customer legs
and toes. Then bam! I got the full blown reprimand to
clearly draw the line for the rest of the staff not to
lick customers legs!
Geez, it seems like I am the only risk taker around
here. Please come in soon to tell me how sorry you feel
for me! |
